York prep school board member accused of child pornography WSOC TV

YORK COUNTY, SC — A South Carolina school board member is in jail after investigators said they discovered child pornography on his computer.

York Preparatory Academy Board Member, Tim Ruzbacki, 52, is on suspension after officials traced his IP address and discovered multiple photos of children engaging in sexual activity.

Sheriff's spokesman Trent Faris said investigators received reports that Ruzbacki had downloaded child pornography.

According to another board member, a background check was performed before Ruzbacki began working with the school.

The Campus Director and Board Chairman refused to comment, and Ruzbacki is on suspension until the case is resolved.

Ruzbacki faces 10 counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, deputies said.  He faces up to 10 years in prison on each charge if he is convicted.

Ruzbacki was released from jail Wednesday morning after posting bail.
